New Harry Potter movie is being secretly filmed

A ninth Harry Potter big screen offering is in the process of being filmed

Harry Potter and its huge film franchise came to a close last year allowing Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint to finally embark on careers away from wizardry, but it appears they are reprising the roles they kissed goodbye to as a new film is in the pipeline.

The Sun reports another Harry Potter film is secretly being shot even though Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows — Part 2 was thought to be the final instalment.

So far the only confirmed cast member is Helena Bonham Carter, who will continue her role as Bellatrix Lestrange, but an insider hinted that it won’t just be one name appearing as they told the newspaper: ‘The cast have really enjoyed getting back together - they are so tight-knit.’

While the Harry Potter films made more than £5 billion in revenue, it’s not thought the latest instalment will achieve the same results as it’ll only be a short film and will be shown at the Harry Potter theme parks, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction in Florida and two new Hogwarts parks in California and Japan, which are due to open in the next few years.

The source added: ‘The shooting schedule is nowhere near as long as the films, so though filming has been intense, the stars have enjoyed being able to pop in and out.’
