Mila Kunis is the latest celebrity whose name is being floated as a possible contender for the coveted lead role of Anastasia Steele in the film version of 50 Shades of Grey.

The Dior face's smouldering new title (she was crowned 'Sexiest Woman Alive' by Esquire magazine this weekend) has various entertainment sites suggesting that the starlet has just the right mix of sex appeal and innocence required to play the lead role of Ana in the film adaptation of E.L. James' smash hit erotica bestseller, opposite the domineering, smouldering character of Christian Grey.

Casting rumours about the film have been swirling at a record pace, with new Hollywood stars thrown into the ring on an (almost) daily basis. Recent reported contenders for the top roles include Jake Gyllenhaal, Kristen Stewart, Emma Watson and Alexander Skarsgard.

According to Gather.com, Mila, who is currently getting down and dirty (and soaking wet!) on the new set of her film The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, co-starring Robin Williams, is a perfect match for Ana, both in terms of appearance - 'luscious lips, big eyes and brunette hair' and acting skills - 'she showed off her serious, dark and sensual side by seducing Natalie Portman in the movie Black Swan.'

While the rumour mill continues to swirl into overdrive, the screenwriter for the film was confirmed yesterday.
