The Duchess of Sussex is currently on maternity leave

Meghan Markle is currently taking a break from royal duties, having just given birth to her first child with Prince Harry.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor arrived on the 6th of May, making his first public appearance to the world two days later in an official photocall (and of course, he's adorable).

The Duchess of Sussex is currently on maternity leave, but may be out and about in public sooner than you might think.

As one of the most important royal events of the year, it's thought that Meghan may make an appearance for the Queen's birthday at Trooping the Colour, which will be held this year on the 8th of June.

Last year was Meghan Markle's first Trooping the Colour appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, shortly after the royal wedding.

It's worth noting that Kate Middleton also attended Trooping the Colour last year and was, time-wise, in roughly the same position as Meghan, after giving birth to Prince Louis at the end of April. So, although nothing has been confirmed regarding the Duchess of Sussex's attendance, she may well be there after all.
