Lea Michele has returned to the recording studio for the very first time since she lost her co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith to a heroin and alcohol overdose last month.
Taking to her Twitter page, the Glee actress said: 'Thank you @alxanders & @AdamAnders for a great recording session today.. You guys are the best❤.'
She added: 'Couldn't have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with…'
Lea returned to the set of Glee last week after a short hiatus following Cory's passing. Clearly elated to be back shooting with her close friends and cast, she said: 'First day of glee today..And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I've missed her so much❤.'
We can't even begin to imagine how emotional that first scene would have been.
Glee producer Ryan Murphy announced that the series would be returning after a short break last month, following the devastating news that Cory had been found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver. He confirmed that the season will continue as normal, up until episode three, which will now stand as a special tribute episode to the late actor. The series will then take another break while the producers, cast and crew decide the fate of the hit show.

Lea has given her blessing to the tribute episode, which will deal directly with the subject of drugs. And in a further respectful move by the channel, public service broadcasts will also air during the ad breaks to tackle the topic.
The music producers who were working with Lea today praised the actress for her strength. Brothers Alex and Adam Anders both tweeted to share their admiration for the star, with Alex saying: '@msleamichele You were absolutely magnificent today. I am in awe of your strength and your sweet spirit. Love you. #leastrong.'
Adam added: '@msleamichele you are the strongest person I know. That was truly amazing. Love you xoxo #leastrong.'
Today, FOX TV shared a moving video tribute to Cory online, and we've had to stop ourselves from blubbing as a happy Rachel Berry cosies up to Finn Hudson.
She's so strong. We can't wait to hear what song she picked. Tissues at the ready...
