After watching the Super Bowl, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith enjoyed date night at a cinema in LA

Lea Michele and Cory Monteith took advantage of some rare downtime over the weekend, enjoying a Super Bowl date night, followed by a trip to the cinema.

It's thought the gorgeous Glee pair watched the Super Bowl match in the comfort of their LA home, before heading out to the ArcLight Theatre.

Taking to Twitter to share the details of her day, Lea Michele wrote: 'From snowboarding in the mountains to laying poolside in the sun.. Gotta love the west coast! Happy Super Bowl Sunday!'

And she couldn't help sharing her excitement about Beyonce's half-time performance.

'So excited for Beyonce right now! #beyonceday,' she added.

Super Bowl show over, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith headed out to the cinema to catch a movie.

And they chose a scary one!

Lea told fans: 'Ps went to go to 'Mama' last night... Woah.. So scary. I will now sleep with all the lights on for the next month! Lol'.

Lea and Cory seemed in good spirits as they arrived at the cinema, holding hands and smiling for snappers.

While Cory did double denim in jeans and a shirt, Lea dressed down in a baseball jacket and suede high tops.

Lea Michele and Cory Monteith looked seriously loved up as they hit the beach during a romantic New Year's break in Hawaii last month.

Stepping out in a teeny orange bikini, Lea showed off her killer beach bod as she larked around with Glee guy Cory, paddling in the surf and snapping many photos of their day.
