Lady Gaga shaves head in tribute to Terry Richardson’s late mother

The controversial star got adventurous with the clippers in support of her photographer friend’s mourning

Lady Gaga has sported an impressive catalogue of hairdos but no one could have predicted her latest look – a half-shaved head.

The singer’s new style is arguably her most unique to date and features a shaved section at the bottom half of her head.

But this is no fashion statement, instead it pays homage to close friend Terry Richardson’s late mother.

Lady Gaga captioned the photo with: ‘I did it for u Terry. I'm sorry about ure mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high. [sic]’

The Princess Diana reference relates to the star’s latest release, Princess D.I.E that was written in tribute to the late royal.

Photographer Terry Richardson broke the news of his mother Annie’s death on his Tumblr page simply writing: ‘R.I.P. Annie Lomax, My Mom 1938-2012.’

Terry has collaborated with many celebrities, including his now close friend Lady Gaga and he released a book of photos of the singer last year.
