Bosses at studio Universal have denied dropping Kristen Stewart from the franchise after her affair with director Rupert Sanders
Kristen Stewart could still star in the Snow White sequel, bosses at film studios Universal have confirmed.
This comes just hours after it was reported the actress has been dropped from the franchise, after cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with the film’s director Rupert Sanders.
But today execs have said that is simply not the case.
Confirming that a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel still in the pipeline, bosses told the LA Times that Kristen may still feature in the second movie, but it will focus predominantly on Christ Hemsworth’s Huntsman character, and not Kristen Stewart’s Snow White.
Yesterday, it was reported screenwriter David Koepp, who had already been hired to write the second movie, had been let out of his contract as execs prepared to re-write the script.
Insiders revealed the project ‘is being transformed into something other than the movie that Koepp had been hired to write,’ after a u-turn to scale down Kristen Stewart’s part in the project.
The latest in the Snow White saga comes after it was rumoured Rupert Sanders’ model wife Liberty Ross banned the cheating director from ever working with Kristen Stewart again.
‘Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can’t direct the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman,’ a source told Radar Online.
