We're just not sure how to feel
Kit Harrington has just broken hearts across the world by shaving off his beard. For Harrington's die-hard fans, the loss of the beard is basically a bereavement, and they've taken it really, really badly.
The Game of Thrones star, who is best known for playing moody-but-nice Jon Snow, is currently appearing on stage in the play Doctor Faustus. It's unclear whether he's shaved the beard off for a new role, or just because he fancied a change, but people really aren't taking it very well.
The beard (or lack therefore) was debuted after last night's show. Fans congregated at the stage door to meet the man of the moment, and discovered that his face was missing some foliage. Harrington looked startlingly different from Jon Snow without the beard, though the heavy eye make-up he wears for the stage might also have contributed to his new look.
Fans have started to speculate that the lack of beard might be a clue as to his character's on-screen fate. But surely Jon Snow can't die twice?
