Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has reportedly checked into a health retreat in the US.
The actor’s rep told Page Six: ‘Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.’
Kit, who has played Jon Snow on the HBO series for eight years, is said to have checked into the centre a few weeks before the finale aired on 19th May.
In the run up to the final season of Game of Thrones, Kit spoke to various publications about how emotionally draining filming had been.
Talking to GQ Australia, he said: ‘The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us. Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f*cking tiring. We were sleep deprived.’
He continued: ‘It was like it was designed to make you think, “Right, I’m f*cking sick of this.”
‘I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, “I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day—but I’m done.”‘
He also told Esquire: ‘The final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… I felt fine… Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit.
‘Then they called, “Wrap!” And I just… broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.’
