Kim Kardashian confirms Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez as new X Factor US presenters

Kim Kardashian broke the news on Twitter, announcing this year’s show hosts

Kim Kardashian has proudly shared the news that her younger sister, Khloe Kardashian, has taken the coveted role as X Factor US host and will be joined by Eva Longoria’s close friend, Mario Lopez.

Last night (Tuesday) Kim tweeted: ‘OMG!! How exciting is this!? Khloe is joining The X Factor this November to co-host with Mario Lopez.'

She continued her gushing with: ‘I’m so happy for Khloe and can’t wait to watch her on the show. I can’t think of anyone more perfect for the role!!! Xo'

Simon Cowell also confirmed the news to Us Weekly saying: ‘The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out. Mario and Khloé are our hosts. I couldn't be happier.'

The presenting positions became open after Nicole Scherzinger moved from hosting the US X Factor to being a judge on the British version of the show. And while she may have left some big (no-doubt designer) boots to fill, Khloe and Mario are delighted to step into them, tweeting their excitement.

Khloe wrote: ‘The rumors are true. I'll be hosting @TheXFactorUSA this season!!! SO excited!’

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez won’t report for presenting duty until November when the live shows start. Unlike the British offering, the American presenters do not appear backstage during the audition stages.

Mario, who made his name as AC Slater from Saved By The Bell, is a big name across the pond, he currently hosts popular TV shows, American’s Best Dance Crew and Extra.

Kim Kardashan’s younger sister, Khloe, has already appeared alongside Kelly Osbourne on E!’s Fashion Police although the X Factor will be her first proper presenting gig.
