The reality starlet’s soon to be ex Kris Humphries is said to be 'devastated'
Kim Kardashian has confirmed she is to file for divorce from husband of 72 days Kris Humphries, in a statement released late last night.
Just hours after Ryan Seacrest - producer of Kim’s Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s show - revealed the news on Twitter, the reality TV starlet told fans it had not been 'an easy decision'.

Speaking in a statement broadcast on entertainment channel E! she said: 'After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision.
'I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.'
It’s thought the starlet has hired top divorce Laura Wasser, who has worked with A-listers Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie, and will cite ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.
Meanwhile, Kim’s soon-to-be-ex-husband Kris Humphries is said to be ‘devastated’ by the news, and has reportedly vowed to try and rescue their broken marriage.
'I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents,' the US basketball star told American magazine Us Weekly in a statement.
'I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce,' he added. 'I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.'
Kim and Kris married at a private residence in California on August 20, in one of the biggest celebrity ceremonies of the year.
Kim wore the first of her three Vera Wang bridal gowns to walk down the aisle on the arm of stepfather Bruce Jenner, watched by friends, family and a host of famous faces.
The couple, who earned a reported $18 million from the lavish ceremony are said to have raked in a whopping $250,000 each day in deals and endorsements.
