The Klaxons star gave Keira Knightley an unusual present to mark their nuptials over the weekend
Keira Knightley isn’t a girl who needs money towards her honeymoon as a wedding gift but we’re not sure she needs an olive tree either bur that’s exactly what she got from her husband, James Righton to mark their big day.
The 100-year-old olive tress was presented to Keira Knightley after her nuptials and was planted in the back garden on the family home in the south of France. Of course this wasn’t any old tree it reportedly cost a £3,000 but also had a more sentimental addition.
The Klaxons keyboard player had his and Keira’s initials carved into the trunk, a subtle but sweet touch! The Sun report the actress burst into giggles when she was presented the gift in front of her close friends and family.
Of course that wasn’t all the star received, her thoughtful husband also handed her his Grandmother’s wedding band a source told the newspaper: ‘The ring he gave her was a family heirloom too. He really did think it all through. It was an amazing wedding, the whole thing was really sweet and down to earth.’
And it sounds as if that was exactly what she wanted, Keira recently told Marie Claire that her wedding will be modest saying ‘I could have six fake weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’re not big wedding types. I don’t need to have all that.’
So an olive tree was the perfect gift got her then!
