While reports surfaced earlier this week that the stars had been secretly dating and enjoying romantic meals together at Jake's West Village apartment after being introduced by Katie's former Dawson's Creek co-star, Joshua Jackson, according to Gossip Cop, a rep for Holmes has dismissed the relationship.
The website reports that a rep for Holmes says that rumours the pair are 'secretly dating' are 'not at all true.' A source close to Gyllenhaal also confirmed that claims of an alleged romance between the two stars were false.
Since her high-profile divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012, Holmes has been focusing on being a mum to six-year-old daughter Suri, has been working on her Holmes & Yang fashion line and is currently appearing in the Broadway play Dead Accounts, which is scheduled to close at the end of the week, after just six weeks, as a result of poor ticket sales.
