Kate Middleton’s pregnancy won’t only help the royals’ PR, it’ll also breathe life into the country’s finances

Pregnant Kate Middleton may only be in her first trimester, but experts have already claimed the royal baby will help fledging UK finances, and the new arrival could generate hundreds of millions of pounds for the country.

KATE MIDDLETON IS STILL SUFFERING WITH PREGNANCY SICKNESS

It’s believed the arrival of the Duke andDuchess of Cambridge’s first child will predominantly benefit the tourism industry as the world’s press home in on Kate Middleton and her growing bump – London and the UK will feature in royal reportage.

But it’s not just the capital or large corporations who will benefit, a spokesman for the Federation of Small Businesses told The Telegraph: ‘This [Kate Middleton’s pregnancy] will be the third year of good news in a row, bringing an inevitable feel-good factor to the economy.’

And that’s not all, the birth of the baby will add to the existing £4.5billion the UK earns through tourism every year, much of which is helped along by the Royal family. This figure was given an added boost thanks to the summer’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations for the Queen.

But the real royal money spinner was Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding that was estimated to earn the UK tourism industry over £2billion.

Looks like the royal baby has a lot to live up to…
