This week we learnt that Kate Middleton gets her parenting tips from this unlikely source, and it seems that her efforts to raise Prince George and Princess Charlotte to be fitting throne-dwellers is working out quite well if this is anything to go by.
On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Wales attended the unveiling of a war memorial to commemorate the efforts of the servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Samantha Burge, wife of Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge, revealed that she managed to have a bit of a ‘mummy chat’ with Kate, and the future Queen revealed exactly what Princess Charlotte is like behind closed doors.
‘She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge,’ Samantha admitted. ‘We have both got 2-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat.
‘[She said] they are both becoming really good friends, George and Charlotte.’
We’re sure Queen Elizabeth is thrilled to have a line of strong women ready to take on the ruling role when the time comes.
For now though, the fact that our Liz has been the ruling monarch for an impressive 65 years could mean we’re getting an extra day’s holiday this summer.
We definitely like the sound of that …
