The actress is set to star as a super-sleuth, as the detective tale gets a Disney makeover
Could detective Miss Marple be set to get a makeover? Rumour has it, actress Jennifer Garner is in line to star as the super sleuth in a new movie, which will see the traditional tale get a dazzling Disney makeover.
According to film website Deadline, bosses at the studio have decided to reinvent the famous set of Agatha Christie stories, drafting in Twin Peaks screenwriter Mark Frost, to craft a younger, more modern version.
It’s thought the Miss Marple movie will have a contemporary feel, which would explain why lovely lady Jennifer Garner – some years younger than any Miss Marple we’ve ever seen before! – has landed the lead.
Reports suggest the Juno actress – stepping into the shoes of stars such as Angela Lansbury and Geraldine McEwan – could even star in, and produce the movie, along with assistant Julia Janes.
But with details being kept carefully under wraps, it’s not yet known who else will appear in the film.
Miss Garner can currently be seen in Arthur, alongside Russell Brand and Helen Mirren, and is also set to star in upcoming flick Butter, with Twi-beauty Ashley Greene.
