Gavin and Stacey star James Corden has opened up on the trials and tribulations of becoming a dad, after welcoming first child Max into the world in March.
Joking about suffering with baby blues, the funnyman said the first few months of Max's life have not quite been plain sailing, but credited fiancée Julia Carey with being a 'wonderful mum.'
‘Let’s be honest. I’m fed up of these guys who go, “Aww! The minute I held it in my arms, I just knew I’d jump in front of a bus for it". No you didn’t. A parked bus maybe,' the comedian laughed to Xfm Breakfast Show presenter Danny Wallace.
'For a while it’s nothing but annoying and then slowly and surely in around three months when you get a smile you go, “Aww, actually you’re all right”.’
Speaking of his 'shock' at the change in sleeping arrangements which came with baby Max, he said: ‘He still sleeps in the room which was a shock to me when Jules asked where we were going to put the cot. I was like, “Well, in the other room”.’

But James was quick to praise his other half's parenting skills.
‘My girlfriend, or should I say fiancée, is a wonderful mum – the best person I could have chosen to have had a child with – she is amazing,' he gushed.
On Sunday the happy family were spied basking in the sun and enjoying a picnic on Primrose Hill while baby Max slept in his pram. Cute!
