After a dramatic eviction, rumours have surfaced that Gary wants to sever ties with the show
Gary Barlow has made no secret of his anger at the X Factor following his act, Carolynne Poole being axed from the show last weekend. And now it appears things have taken a more dramatic turn, with reports surfacing that he might not return to the show next year.
The Sun report Gary has become disillusioned by the ITV1 show after last weekend’s showdown that saw Louis Walsh choose to take the eviction to the public vote instead of saving one of the bottom two acts forcing Gary’s to leave the competition.
After storming off the live results show, the singer/songwriter has allegedly decided to focus his time on recording new material with Take That towards the end of 2013.
A source told The Sun: ‘The events of the last week have really confirmed in Gary’s mind that he needs to get back to what he loves best.
‘Gary is going to give this series his all and then it will be full steam ahead for Take That. The lads are enjoying a bit of freedom at the moment, but they are all united in their desire to get Take That back on the road.
‘A new album and tour have been discussed and all five of the boys are making really positive noises.’
Despite photos of Gary and the rest of the X Factor judges, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Constavols having dinner earlier this week the paper claim Gary and Louis are still refusing to speak to each other.
The source added: ‘Everyone was hoping for peace talks between Gary and Louis but they sat at opposite ends of the table and didn’t speak all night.’
