Rumour has it the fab five – Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle - have set their hearts on reforming on the band’s 10th anniversary.

And it’s thought they tasked their manager with landing them an extra special gig to celebrate the reunion.

The current favourite? The 2012 Olympic Games.

Reports suggest the girls could be in line to perform at the prestigious ceremony, as well as at an Olympic tribute gig at the O2 stadium, to mark the big event.

‘The girls are getting very excited,’ one insider told the Sun. ‘The promoters are only looking to book massive, show-stopping acts, which they would be perfect for.
