Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are ultimate couple goals.
First, Hadid was gushing about her former One Direction star boyfriend to Entertainment Tonight. In an interview, she was beaming like a proud girlfriend talking about Malik’s evolution as a musician.
‘I’m so excited for him. I think that he is so talented and comes from such a genuine place of loving music,’ she said.
She added that his new life outside of the group has been really great for his growth.
‘The more that he’s on his own, the more that he’s finding the soul in the music and what’s making him really happy to sing and genuinely want to be on stage. The music that he’s starting to do more now is showing how much more he’s learning about himself.’

The adorable couple are pretty open about their affection for each other and we love it (remember when Zayn shared this sweet detail about living with Gigi?. Just a quick glimpse through Hadid’s Instagram and you know the two love birds are deeply connected.
Hadid is preparing to co-host the American Music Awards with Saturday Night Live star and comedian Jay Pharaoh on November 20th. But beyond hosting, she told Billboard that she’s worried about being ‘the embarrassing girlfriend’ fangirling over Malik when it comes time to announce New Artist of the Year (which Zayn is nomiated for).
She said, ‘To be the winner’s girlfriend, you don’t want to embarrass them, but you also want to be super-excited for them. I’m just going to try and not be the embarrassing girlfriend. That’s my goal.’
Can’t wait to see the two of them supporting each other at the AMAs. Even though Hadid expressed some nervousness, we’re sure she’ll kill it like always.
She spoke candidly about preparing for her hosting duties and all the feelings that go along with that.
‘Being an American Music Awards host — I’m excited, a little nervous, but I think that’s important. If I’m nervous until rehearsal, that’s good, and if I’m nervous after rehearsal, I don’t know if that’s as good.’
We’re sure you’ll be amazing, Gigi, and we can’t wait to see you on screen…
