The Prince of Persia star wed Italian fiancé Stefano Catelli yesterday, at a secluded Spanish spot
Prince of Persia star Gemma Arterton married her Italian fiancé Stefano Catelli yesterday, in a romantic Spanish ceremony.
The pair – who got engaged just last year – wed in an intimate ceremony at a secluded spot on the Spanish hillside, in front of close friends and family.
Glowing with pride, Gemma walked down the aisle in a cream satin, strapless gown, her hair pinned in a loose, twisted updo for the occasion.
Just weeks ago the bride-to-be her described her wedding dress in an interview.
‘My fiancé loves me most when I wake up in the morning wrapped up in the bed sheets,‘ she told reporters.
‘My wedding gown is kind of like that.’
The stunning actress carried a simple white bouquet of trailing roses, and chose a long, flowing white veil.
After the short ceremony in the beautiful village of Zuheros in Andalucia, the newlyweds were driven away in an open-top vintage car, decorated with white wedding ribbons.
The couple got engaged just last year, after Stefano – a fashion sales manager – popped the question to his bride-to-be at Download music festival.
And in the past Gemma gushed that it was love at first sight.
‘I remember going home the night after I met him and writing in my diary that I’d met the man I’m going to marry,‘ she revealed last year.
‘I gave that diary entry to him for his birthday two weeks later. But it didn’t freak him out, because he was thinking the same thing.
‘I just really want to spend the rest of my life with him. He’s an amazing man.’
Congratulations to the happy couple!
