The release of the steamy film is getting closer

We've got a Friday treat for you, ladies! New pictures of Robert Pattinson in Bel Ami have just landed on the Marie Claire newsdesk!

The release of the long-awaited movie, which was shot back in 2009, is getting closer and it will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival later this month.

The film, which R-Patz shot in between Twilight films, chronicles the rise of poor ex-soldier Georges Duroy through the 1890s Parisian elite.

Also starring Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci, the movie, which sees Pattinson as a philandering womaniser, is set to be the actor's steamiest work yet.

The 25-year-old previously said of the flick: 'It is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about.

‘In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd.

He added: 'There's something very mercenary about it in a lot of ways.'
