Elton John confirms birth of second son Elijah

Sir Elton John has announced he’s become a parent to another son named Elijah

There’s plenty of happiness in Sir Elton John’s home this week as he and partner David Furnish celebrate the arrival of their second son, Elijah.

The new baby, whose full name is Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, was born via surrogate on Friday in LA. The new bundle of joy weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 4oz.

Speaking to Hello, Elton and David said: ‘Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable.

‘The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way.

‘It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.’

Someone else who must be excited is the couple’s other son, Zachary, 2, who will now take on the role of big brother. It appears the siblings will also have plenty of room to play too as it’s rumoured Elton John and David Furnish bought a new mansion in LA to accommodate their growing family.
