Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt swapped her maid's uniform for sexy and colourful bodycon as she stepped out for the London premiere of new film Filth.
The Downton Abbey star looked gorgeous in a colour-blocked fitted bandage dress from Hervé Léger, with a purple off-the-shoulder bodice, pale blue triangular waist panel and navy-hued skirt as she joined Filth co-stars James McAvoy and Imogen Poots on the blue carpet.
Gold caged heels, a gold metallic clutch, smokey eye makeup and tumbling waves completed the Downton star's striking red-carpet look.
The film, set in Edinburgh, is an adaptation of Irvine Welsh's bestselling novel and takes Joanne a long way from Downton's downstairs as she tackles the role of Mary, a love interest for corrupt cop protagonist Bruce (played by McAvoy).
Joanne, who has captured viewers' hearts as Mrs. Anna Bates - the role she feels 'most connected to' in her career so far - on the hit ITV series, which just started its fourth season, recently opened up to the Mail about her on-screen relationship with Brendan Coyle (aka Mr. Bates) and why their relationship has been such a viewer favourite:
'What I see in them is their faith in each other, their unblinking trust. That is what I think we all wish for, or we all hope for in our relationships.’
