David and Victoria Beckham to leave America?

David Beckham has announced he is leaving LA Galaxy, promoting rumours a move could be in the offing for the famous family

David and Victoria Beckham are considering a move away from LA, according to reports, after David announced his last game American football club, LA Galaxy.

The sporting star said he'd like to face 'one last challenge' before retiring from the sport, prompting whisperings the famous family have set their sights on a new home.

'I've had an incredibly special time playing for the L.A. Galaxy,' Beckham said in a statement on last night.

'However, I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career. I don't see this as the end of my relationship with the league, as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in the future.'

It's not yet know what Becks' 'challenge' will be, although it's thought Paris, Australia and the UK could all be potential destinations.

Last year, it was rumoured the Beckhams were weighing up a move to France, after French football club Paris Saint Germain expressed interest in signing Mr B to play for their club.

Whisperings suggested American property agents acting on behalf of the family had even been scouting the French capital for a suitably posh pad, under the Beckhams strict instructions.

'He’s already looking for an apartment in Paris,’ reported France's Le Monde’s website of the famous footballer, back in October 2011.

‘He wants a triplex apartment in a beautiful Parisian building.’

And within days, Paris was buzzing with excitement about the rumours, with boutique owner Josephine Leclercm whose shop is on the swanky 6th arrondissement, saying they would 'just love' the family to move to France full time.

‘Victoria often comes to Paris for fashion events, and would just love to be here full time,' she said. ‘David and Victoria will set the place abuzz – we would absolutely love to have them here.’
