Cheryl Cole bags Whitney Houston songwriters in bid for solo stardom
Cheryl Cole‘s a canny lass – the Geordie star has teamed up with legendary star Whitney Houston’s songwriters in a bid to achieve solo stardom.
Savvy Cheryl’s obviously cottoned on to the fact that Whitney is one of the most successful recording artists of all time – selling 140 million records over her long career.
The Girl Aloud has hooked up with R&B maestros Soulpower, who have also worked with Pink, Destiny’s Child and Victoria Beckham.
Pop star Mika has also said he would be interested in working with Cheryl of solo material.
A source told the Sun: ‘Soulpower are one of the hottest production pairings out there at the moment.
‘They’re hugely sought after and command a huge fee for their services.
‘They regularly write hits for American soul stars like Toni Braxton and Christina Milian.
‘Cheryl really enjoyed her time in the studio with them.’
Soulpower are made up of a Danish duo called Soulshock and Karlin, and their most recent collaboration saw them team up with Alesha Dixon for her hit Breathe Slow.
Cheryl will no doubt be hoping they can turn her into Cheryl Soul, too.
