Cheryl Cole took to Twitter to slam 'bitter' Mirror journalist Polly Hudson…

Cheryl Cole took to Twitter for a scathing rant against a Mirror journalist last night, after the paper printed a 'bitter' article claiming Cheryl would be happier if she wasn't famous.

3am columnist Polly Hudson wrote that Cheryl's recent 30th birthday celebrations were 'depressing,' and that if she was unknown she would have 'proper mates... instead of having to hang out with her mum and brother all the time.'

Referring to Cheryl as 'Cheryl Nosurname' and 'Cheryl Nobody' throughout, Hudson also joked that the songstress 'wouldn't have nearly died from malaria' and would have avoided 'repeated betrayal and public humiliation' had she not been in the spotlight.

The article concluded: 'If Cheryl wasn't famous she'd be much happier... Or in prison.'

Clearly, Cheryl Cole wasn't going to take the comments lying down, and took to Twitter to say a piece of her own.
