The songstress has reportedly turned an offer to take comedian Michael McIntyre's place on the panel
It’s been a busy year for Cheryl Cole. After leaving her place on the UK X Factor, and being shunted off the US show, rumour has it the starlet’s been offered a post on the judging panel of a third show – Britain’s Got Talent.
According to insiders, Simon Cowell was keen to enlist Cheryl as a replacement for Michael McIntyre, who confirmed he’ll be leaving the show earlier this week.
But it seems the singer turned Simon down flat.
Sources say the Girl Aloud – who’s recently finished filming her first film role, and last week announced a shoe collaboration with StylistPick – has turned her attentions to other things, and there is ‘no chance’ she’ll consider the BGT job.
‘There is absolutely no chance in hell Cheryl will even consider doing Britain’s Got Talent,’ one insider told the Sun. ‘She’s not even willing to discuss it. She’s turned it down before.’
Not only that, but it’s thought the star is fed up of the media mogul using her name in the press.
‘Simon knows by mentioning her it will get publicity for his shows,’ the source added. ‘She’s fed up. Cheryl’s walked away from it all and moved forward. Simon keeps dragging it up and her name.’
And with her hands full of new ventures, who knows what Mrs C could do next.
‘Cheryl’s in a great place right now and has always said that music is her main focus,’ the insider revealed. She was really happy to get out and live a little during London Fashion Week and really enjoyed herself.’
