Kimberley leaned on her Girls Aloud mate for emotional support after publicly announcing her pregnancy
Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh had a very emotional Monday - but luckily they had each other to lean on.
Kimberley announced via Twitter yesterday that she's expecting her first child with boyfriend Justin Scott. Shortly after she broke the news, her former Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole took to her own Instagram to share her overwhelming joy for her best friend.
Once the pregnancy news broke, their fans quickly responded. Kimberley's announcement was retweeted more than 5,000 times and Cheryl's Instagram post had more than 32,000 likes.
Clearly the outpouring of support was a lot to take in for the two BFFs, who spent the day together. On Monday evening, Cheryl posted an adorable shot of the two cudddling on the couch together. 'Emotional hugs for an emotional day...' she wrote.
Kimberley was also touched by the public response. 'Very overwhelmed by all your lovely messages I'm deffo feeling the love,' the mum-to-be tweeted at the end of the day. 'Too much excitement for one day! Night night all.'
We're so glad Kim has such a good friend to share this amazing experience with.
