The actress joined Beyonce, Jay-Z and Robert De Niro for Leo's big knees up in New York
Leonardo DiCaprio celebrated his 38th birthday with a charity event before throwing a lavish private bash at NYC club The Darby, where guests included a host of his A-list pals like Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z and Robert De Niro.
The charitable ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ actor kicked off his night by hosting a TAG Hauer event with stunning actress, and good pal, Cameron Diaz for the New York Cares Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, before heading to the exclusive supper club The Darby for a big knees up.
Cameron and Leo left the event at the American Museum of Natural History and headed to the cosy underground club where they were joined by a plethora of stars including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Robert De Niro, Emma Watson, Martin Scorsese, Jonah Hill, Jamie Foxx, Swizz Beatz, Chris Rock, Busta Rhymes, Russell Simmons and Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr for what sounds like the best party ever.
That’s where the party really started, with sources telling the New York Daily Post that bachelor DiCaprio quickly took charge of the music getting DJ Lino Meoli to play some West Coast hip hop.
‘Things got pretty crazy,’ Meoli said.
‘Leo was on the mic beat-boxing to 2 Chainz and had all his buddies up [on] stage.’
Leo used the occasion to raise money for the Red Cross to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy by adding a fee to every bottle sold to be donated for charity.
He raised a total of $500,000 for American Red Cross, and all other donations went to charities supported by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
