  • Angelina Jolie turned 38 on Tuesday – and her hubby-to-be made sure it was a birthday she wouldn't forget

Angelina Jolie celebrated her 38th birthday this week with an intimate family meal in Berlin – and a huge hoard of lavish presents from her husband-to-be, it’s been revealed.

Just when we thought it wasn’t possible to love Brad Pitt any more, news has emerged that he indulged in a huge Agent Provocateur shopping spree for Angelina’s big day.

The actor has spent the week whisking his wife around Europe on the promotional trail for his new movie World War Z, and the pair have looked happier than ever, cosying up for photographers at every opportunity for red-carpet PDAs. It’s been Angelina’s first time back in the spotlight since she underwent a preventative double mastectomy in February.

So besotted with his beautiful fiancee is Brad, that he bought her a huge haul of Agent Provocateur lingerie totalling £3,000.

A source told The Sun this week: ‘Since Angie has recovered from the surgery her and Brad have been acting like a couple of lovestruck teenagers. They can’t keep their hands off each other.

‘It was her birthday on Tuesday and as well as the underwear, Brad arranged for the French fashion designer Heidi Slimane from Saint Laurent in Paris, to sort her out with a whole wardrobe full of new clothes.’

They added: ‘Angelina was so touched by Brad’s gifts that she teared up. She can’t wait to marry him this summer.’

    Could they be any cuter?

Aside from the expensive underwear collection, Brad also arranged a surprise dinner for Angelina at an exclusive French restaurant following the Paris premiere of World War Z. He then took the entire family out to dinner for more celebrations in Berlin on Wednesday, her actual birthday.

Angelina told reporters this week: “I feel wonderful.”
