Brad Pitt had a busy weekend raising money for those people in New Orleans who are still struggling to recover from Hurricane Katrina
Brad Pitt and Ellen DeGeneres gave the residents of New Orleans a treat when they rolled into town to check on the progress of those who were worst-hit by Hurricane Katrina.
The gorgeous actor was in New Orleans over the weekend to visit the Lower Ninth Ward, where he's built a number of eco-friendly, hurricane-resistant homes through his Make It Right Foundation.
He brought along chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres to record their day out in the neighborhood that suffered badly when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
Pitt also threw a fundraising gala on Saturday night, where Kanye West, Jamie Foxx and Rihanna all performed.
Guests at the bash, where each ticket cost between $1,000 and $2,500, included Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Djimon Hounsou and Randy Jackson.

Speaking about the event, Pitt said: 'Even though these people don't like me that much, it really was simple. They carved this time out of their schedule strictly for this event, and came on their own dime.'
Well done, Brad!
