Beyoncé Knowles has talked openly for the first time about how 'cruel' and 'hurtful' she found the rumours about her faking her own pregnancy
Beyoncé Knowles has talked openly for the first time about how ‘cruel’ and ‘hurtful’ she found the rumours that she faked her pregnancy.
The Bootylicious star was first accused of ‘faking it’ in October last year when her bump appeared to collapse in on itself as she sat down for a TV interview.
Beyonce then went on to deny the rumours that she was using a surrogate and wasn’t really pregnant in an interview with Katie Couric on ABC’s 20/20.
But now she’s spoken out about how hurt she really felt at the time.
She told People magazine: ‘I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months.’
‘As a mother, it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumours. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.’
Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed their baby daughter Blue Ivy in January of this year.
She says of the birth: ‘There was so much love and well wishes from all over the world – it made it easier to deal with the stupid rumours.’
