Adele has returned to the recording studio for the first time since becoming a mum and has drafted in a top team of producers to work on her new highly-anticipated album, according to sources.

Adele, who welcomed her son in October, has already had a busy few months what with winning her first Golden Globe, her ninth Grammy and her first Oscar, but has delighted fans with the news that she's made it back into the studio to start on some new material.

Emulating the success of her mega hit album 21, which is the forth biggest selling of all time, may be a daunting prospect but the 24-year-old has made sure she has hired a top team, recruiting producers and songwriters James Ford and Kid Harpoon to work with her.

With the world at her feet, a loving relationship with partner Simon Konecki and a new little baby boy, some have questioned how the superstar's next musical offering will be able to strike a chord with the public quite like her heartbreaking album 21 did, but apparently she's keen to take on a whole new direction anyway.
