We might have to wait a while to actually get our hands on it but here’s a sneaky look at Ellie Goulding’s collaboration with MAC.
Big news from beauty world today, as cosmetics giant MAC have announced their upcoming collaboration with singer extraordinaire, and all round goddess, Ellie Goulding. As if we needed another excuse to take a detour to the nearest MAC counter.
While the rumour mill has been in overdrive lately about possible new MAC collaborations (the Caitlyn Jenner whispers? Not true.), the brand took to Instagram yesterday to announce this rather (okay, very) exciting news. Up until now details have been completely secret, and they’re still quite limited. From the insta-tease, though, the Ellie Goulding Collection looks pretty fantastic. With sneak peaks of a peachy lipstick, a pinky-nude eye shadow quad and a pretty killer blush/bronzer duo it’s safe to say we’re already getting excited. Embossed with a rose gold ‘EG’, it’s classic, sexy and powerful – basically Ellie Goulding in make-up form.
MAC has become pretty well known for its collaborations with celebrities over the past few years, in particular some of our favourite bold and beautiful singers. Ellie joins the likes of Lady Gaga, Lorde, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus in working with MAC, and as Brit songstress of the moment, we can’t help but feel a little bit proud. Following the massive success of her single ‘Love Me Like You Do’, and a year filled with 10ks, recordings and touring, not forgetting her recent star turn as a bazooka wielding Destructica X in the video for Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood, life seems pretty amazing for Ellie Goulding right now!
But hold your horses MAC fans, while we’ve been treated to a this tease now – the release of the MAC and Ellie Goulding collaboration is a little while away yet. The collection will be landing on MAC counters (and hopefully our makeup bags) in December/January. We’re positively starry eyed with delight (sorry, not sorry).
