Hotel Mayet, Paris

  • Marie Claire is supported by its audience. When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy.
  • A fun, clean and very colourful hotel near Les Invalides, with low prices and easy access to major sites

You’ll be hard pressed to find better value in Paris. This is a friendly small hotel, the hallmarks of which are bright colours, uncluttered interiors and great prices.

There are two salons in the lobby, each with enormous splashes of colour on the walls: pinks, yellows, reds and blues, nicely funky without being fancy. You get wood floors, rush mats, leather armchairs, comfy sofas and an enormous clock on one wall.

There’s also free internet access at a computer in the lobby. No mini-bars in the rooms but a couple of vending machines for soft drinks, coffee, beers and snacks, and if you step outside you’ll find cafés and restaurants on your doorstep.

Duroc metro station is 100 metres from the front door and will whisk you north to Invalides and Champs Elysées for sightseeing, or to the airports and Gare du Nord with one change.

If you looking for a low-cost base in the city that’s super clean, welcoming and friendly, you’ve found it.

The Hotel Mayet, Paris is a friendly hotel with 23 rooms with doubles costing from €120 for bed and breakfast.
