  • Traditional charm with a modern twist in the heart of the New Forest

Tucked away in the depths of the beautiful New Forest, Careys Manor offers the perfect excuse to escape from the bustle of everyday life. The hotel itself is a real mixture of old and new with its traditional charm and character coupled with a modern spa and Thai restaurant.

The surrounding area offers an exhausting list of outdoor activities, but if you are lazy then you can quite easily spent your whole weekend being pampered in the beautiful Thai inspired Senspa. There are also three sumptuous restaurants to try – the two AA rosette Manor Restaurant, Le Blaireau French Bistro and the Thai Zen Garden Restaurant.

After all that food and walking/lounging in the pool (delete as appropriate) the hotel offers cosy accommodation, which is fairly traditional in style. It was a lovely touch to have a little balcony on our room, which overlooked the pretty gardens.

Careys Manor also has a hidden ace up its sleeve in the form of its super-green credentials. Guests are offered discounts for travelling car-free, all electricity is generated by wind farms and guest room TVs are not left on stand-by. Also, all three restaurants use local and free-range products, so you can enjoy your dinner minus the carbon footprint.
