Do Duchess Kate and Kendall Jenner share the same 90s style icon?

That's hot

The Simple Life fans rejoice – Paris Hilton is having a moment. Duchess Kate joined the Paris Hilton Style Appreciation Society yesterday when she donned a cream guipure lace Self Portrait gown on the red carpet at the London movie premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob; the very same dress that Ms. Hilton first wore to the amfAR Inspiration Gala on October 28.

The dress, which is from the brand's Resort 2016 collection, has already sold out.

The duchess isn’t the only one to channel the heiress of late. Kendall Jenner turned 21 on November 3, and for her coming of age, the model donned a brilliant bespoke Swarovski crystal dress- much like Paris’ slinky birthday dress which she wore to her own 21st party back in 2002.

The backless creation was custom designed for Kendall by Lebanese brand LaBourjoisie. Kendall Instagrammed the below picture with the caption ‘Vintage Paris Hilton Vibes’. In a dream social media scenario, Paris would have commented saying ‘That’s Hot?'.

But the Paris Hilton style takeover doesn’t end there. At the 2016 CMA Awards (that’s the Country Music Association Awards for the uninitiated) Carrie Underwood wore not one, not two but 11 different outfits on the night, one of which was a decadent gold gown. The fully beaded, ombre kaftan-style dress was made by the designer behind Kendall Jenner’s sparkling birthday ensemble, and is very same dress that Paris rocked at the Louis Vuitton Art of Giving Ball back in July.

It seems Paris Hilton style has been influencing fashion designers of the highest calibre, too. At Haute Couture Fashion Week in July, label-du-jour Vetements sent Juicy Couture velour tracksuits down the runway, rhinestones and all, as part of the spring/summer 2017 collection. From newsboy caps to babydoll dresses, Paris was, and still is, fearless in her sartorial pursuits. And we love her for it.
