Here's what we know...

The Cambridges are one of the most talked-about families in the world, but while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spend the most time in front of the cameras, it’s their children that really steal the limelight.

From Princess Charlotte’s signature sass and Prince George’s cheeky grin to their royal waves when meeting their brother, Prince Louis, these toddlers never fail to make news. And judging by Trooping the Colour, it looks like Prince Louis is following after his royal siblings.

This weekend however, it was Prince William and Kate Middleton who made news, as they announced exciting plans of their future royal tour.

The destination of choice? Pakistan.

'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this autumn, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,' read the statement on the Kensington Royal Instagram page, alongside a series of photographs. 'Further details will be advised in due course. Her Majesty The Queen visited Pakistan in 1961 and 1997, and The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited in 2006.'

The selection of photos included alongside the photo of the Duke and Duchess were throwback photographs of other royal family members in Pakistan.

The first photo showed the Queen at a State Banquet at the President's House, Karachi, in 1961, the second was of the Queen meeting members of the Pakistan cricket team at the Rawalpindi cricket ground, in 1997 and the third was of the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at the Badshahi Mosque, Lahore, in 2006.

More details are expected in the coming months.
