Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially parents, with the royal couple excitedly announcing the news today that their son, Baby Sussex, has arrived.
‘We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,’ read a statement from the couple via their Sussex Royal Instagram page earlier today.

But it is Prince Harry’s statement that got the world talking today, with the Duke of Sussex stepping outside of his Frogmore Cottage home to deliver a statement on the new arrival.
‘I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy this morning, a very healthy boy,’ Prince Harry announced to the media. ‘Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It has been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.’
He continued: ‘We are both thrilled and are so grateful to all of the love and support out from everybody out there. We are still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit overdue so we’ve had a little bit of time to think about it, but that’s the next bit.
