And no one saw this coming at all.

It seems like only yesterday that Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence were the IT couple, meeting on the set of X Men, and going on to date for years, parting ways in 2014.

But today we were reminded of how long it has been since the co-stars were together, as it was announced that 28-year-old Nicholas Hoult is now a father, reportedly welcoming his first child with girlfriend, Bryana Holly.

There was speculation that the couple, who have been dating since the beginning of 2017, could be expecting when 24-year-old lingerie model Bryana was photographed with a baby bump last month.

Now it seems that the rumours are true, with several sources confirming the news. ’They have kept the news under wraps, but are so happy and excited,’ a source reportedly told People.

Jennifer Lawrence is yet to address the news, but she opened up about her ex-boyfriend in a past Vanity Fair interview, explaining about their connection to the X Men series.

'These movies had been my life for so long and they had to come first in everything,’ she explained. 'I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and that was my life. So my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24 was this whole year of, "Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?"'

Nicholas Hoult has yet to personally confirm the news and there’s no updates yet regarding the sex or name of the newborn, but given the secrecy of the pregnancy in the first place, we’re not holding our breath for an announcement.

Congratulations are definitely in order.
