'Eat more chocolate to sweeten your disposition

Meghan Markle has a difficult relationship with her family, something that has plagued her first year as a royal.

The Markles as a whole have created a lot of drama around the now Duchess of Sussex, from estranged nephew Tyler Dooley naming his cannabis business after her to her father Thomas Markle continuously engaging with the press, despite Meghan’s reported pleas for him not too.

The most noise however has come from Meghan’s half sister Samantha Grant (now going by Markle).

From her rumoured appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, and her turning up to Kensington Palace with a camera crew to surprise the Duchess, to her selection of Meghan’s due date as the release date for her tell-all book, it’s safe to say that Samantha doesn’t have Meghan’s best interests at heart.

This was proved once more this week, as Samantha publicly dressed down the Duchess of Sussex, publishing some recommended new year’s resolutions for the former Suits actress.

‘Your New Year’s resolution should be to be honest and pay tribute to those who have helped you the most such as your dad,’ Samantha offered while speaking to the Daily Star. ‘Thank him for your college education, your career, building every stage you set foot on, but really appreciate the people that care about you.’

She continued: ‘So many people around the world don’t have anyone who cares about them and hopefully you will count your blessings and reflect moving forward in the new year and pay that gratitude forward to your children so that they also thank you.’

‘It all comes full circle… it started with dad, and you can carry on the legacy. And of course I would add to eat more chocolate to sweeten your disposition for the new year.’

We doubt Meghan or Harry will respond.
