Katy Perry has spoken out about her break up with Orlando Bloom
No! Say it isn’t so!

After being photographed together at the Oscars 2017 after-party last Sunday, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom officially announced their split earlier this week.
When they didn’t walk the red carpet together at the 89th annual Academy Awards, rumours started to spread, and on Tuesday morning the couple’s representatives released a statement to Us Weekly.
‘Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.’
Since the announcement, both Katy and Orlando have stayed out of the spotlight, until this morning when the singer broke her silence, posting to Twitter, 'How bout a new way of thinking for 2017!? U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!'
It was just over a year ago that the A-list couple got together, hitting it off at the Weinstein Company and Netflix Golden Globes after party in LA, and since then their relationship has gone from strength to strength.
They’ve had some memorable relationship moments from their infamous couple costume, attending Kate Hudson’s Hollywood Halloween party dressed as Hillary and Bill Clinton, to Orlando paddleboarding naked on their romantic trip to Italy, and as a result almost breaking the internet.

Rumours started to emerge in November, with people speculating that the couple had called time on their relationship. A report from In Touch Magazine suggested that Orlando had instigated a break up, with a source saying ‘he claimed that he’s just not ready to get married and have babies.’
A different source, however, suggested that Katy was the one to do the dumping, reporting, ‘she said they were on different life paths and as much as she likes him, it’s time to move on.’
The couple proved the rumours wrong, going on to spend Christmas and Thanksgiving together, with Orlando Bloom posting cute videos of her dog.
Unfortunately, unlike then, this announcement seems pretty permanent. We hope Orlando Bloom won't be the one that got away.
