It’s thought the private pair – who met on the set of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps – could be cooling their romance, after work commitments have increasingly kept them apart.
And now insides suggest Carey could make a move back to England to spend more time with her family.
'I'm moving back to England - it's a long story,' the star reportedly told friends at a recent premiere Never Let Me Go, before revealing to the Daily Mail: 'I am spending some more time here at the moment. Just spending time with my family, really.'
And although neither pair have commented on split rumours, something did seem to be troubling usually calm Shia, as he stopped for coffee in the US over the weekend.

When the grumpy star spotted a paparazzo sneaking up on him, he grabbed his coffee and gave chase, angrily tipping the steaming drink over the photographer, before running off at high speed down the road.
