Film bosses reportedly knew about Penelope Cruz’s pregnancy weeks ago, and have even had to tweak some her Pirates of the Caribbean scenes to hide her burgeoning baby bump.

Production staff were said to have been so worried on hearing Pen’s happy news, that they rushed to finish filming her scenes before the pregnancy began to show.

But it seems the star’s baby bump might just have put in an appearance before the film production wrapped, as insiders have revealed some of the Spanish star’s scenes have been ‘tweaked’ to hide her rounded tummy.

'The film company was worried about scheduling because of Penelope's pregnancy but tweaked some of the scenes to make it work,' one source told LifeandStylemagazine.com.

After weeks of denials, a rep confirmed Penelope’s pregnancy yesterday.

Since the they secretly tied the knot earlier this year, Javier and Pen have fought off persistent pregnancy speculation, and the Hollywood rumour mill went into overdrive with talk that the secretive star was expecting, after pictures of Pen sporting a rather round tummy emerged.

And following the publication of the shots, her spokesperson issued a statement confirming the couple were expecting their first baby.
