Britney Spears has been detained by police and taken for ‘evaluation’ at a hospital after refusing to hand her kids over to their father.

At around 8pm last night police responded to a call ‘about a custodial dispute regarding Britney Spears’ children’.

She was taken off on a stretcher to the nearby Cedars Sinai Hospital, after suspicion arose the singer was ‘under the influence of an unknown substance’.

LAPD spokesman, Jason Lee, said: ‘Police were called to Britney Spears mansion this evening.

‘She was refusing to hand the children over to their father as part of a court order.

‘We were called and the situation is now what we call a Code 4 - which means everything is done.

‘That means we verified the court document and the children are being returned to their father via representative.’

He added: ‘However, we do believe Britney Spears is under the influence and needs to be evaluated.

‘She is being transported to hospital where she will be tested for both drink and drugs.

‘At this stage we do not know what she may or may not have taken - that's why she needs to be evaluated.

‘But obviously, if the test does prove positive, then we would be looking to move her to a police station and charge her.’

Meanwhile, Britney’s cousin, and sometimes assistant, Alli Simms, has teamed up with the owners of Las Vegas’ Palms Hotel, the Maloof Brothers, to shoot a reality show pilot that follows the life of the aspiring singer and her friends.

She needs to have those kids permanently removed whilst she receives serious professional help for at least 6 months. She needs to get rid of all these so-called friends who are trying to profit out of her misery and just concentrate on getting her life back. Kids don't need to see their mum like this.

Poor woman - how much worse can things get for her? she has zero taste in men and clothes but at least the clothes can't turn HER inside out and ruin her the way the ex has done!

when is this poor woman going to get the help she needs and deserves? blame should be centred on the family, where were they when she needed them? and!!!! where were they when jamie lynn fell preggers at the tender age of 16?
