Selena Gomez and The Weeknd announced their relationship to the world this year, making their first public appearance together at the 2017 Met Gala in May.

Since then the millennial couple has passed several major relationship milestones, becoming Instagram official, talking about each other in interviews and apparently even moving in together.

Yes, really. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple has moved into an apartment together in Greenwich Village, New York - and the internet is very excited about it.

The apartment, reportedly setting them back around £12,000 a month, is said to feature 11.6ft high ceilings and glass balconies, located in the heart of the Village - but before we get too carried away, they won't be settling there for long.

It turns out the set up is only temporary, with Selena and Abel only renting their Greenwich Village pad while they are both in the city, with Selena working on a Woody Allen project and Abel touring as The Weeknd.

According to the source, their decision is 'a big deal' for Selena who is reportedly accustomed to staying in hotels while staying in a city, but it's hardly surprising given how serious the relationship has become.

Opening up about Abel in a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, Selena explained how the couple decided to make their relationship known.

‘Because I’ve been doing this for so long, I don’t feel like there’s anything that I would want to … not necessarily hide, but I’m genuinely myself,' she explained. ‘I think it’s really hard when I would want to spend so much time hiding things. It’s too much pressure, and I think everyone gets over everything eventually. I just want to be happy. If that’s me just being myself, then I don’t really care.’
