Duchess Kate dropped by to help some Beaver Scouts ice cupcakes.
The Duchess of Cambridge was given a break from her go-to coat dresses last night and was allowed to wear a hoodie. Yes, a hoodie. The former Kate Middleton dressed way down for a visit to the Beaver Scouts in East London, opting for comfort over style in a U.K. Scouting zip-up hoodie, J Brand jeans and knee-high boots.
Duchess Kate, fresh back from her recent visit to New York with Prince William, helped the children, aged six to eight, get their Disability Awareness badges. She got stuck in with all the activities, including eating chocolates wearing boxing gloves, iceing a cake while blindfolded and learning the Scout Promise in sign language.
Not everyone was that blown away by being in the presence of royalty, though. One little boy reportedly said, ‘What’s your name?’ to which the Duchess replied with a laugh, ‘My name’s Catherine. Very nice to meet you!’
It must have been the hoodie that threw him.
