Did Ciara just reveal the sex of her and Russell Wilson's baby?

Ciara's latest Instagram post has sent her fans into a frenzy, wondering whether she's just announced the sex of her baby.

Uploading a picture of herself cradling her baby bump and wearing a blue and white striped jacket, she wrote: 'Blue is one of my favourite colors..' as the caption. Does this mean Ciara's impending arrival is in fact a boy?

It would be a pretty subtle nod to her baby's gender, but we can't help thinking there might be something in it...

The couple announced that they're expecting their first child together back in October last year, three months after their wedding.

Ciara took to Instagram to share the happy news with a post on her birthday, writing: 'On this special birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family... and I'm excited to finally share one of the greatest gifts of all that god could give.'

Husband Russell Wilson, NFL quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, posted the same picture to his Instagram: 'The greatest blessing of all. Forever grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay' he wrote.

After a year of dating, the couple were married in July earlier this year in a lavish ceremony in a castle in Cheshire, and the Roberto Cavalli gown she wore was nothing short of breathtaking. Before the two got married, all eyes were on her beautiful engagement ring, one of the most gorgeous sparklers we've ever seen.

The news comes shortly after the announcement that Ciara is the new face of Revlon – which totally makes sense as she was named after their 1973 perfume. The first part of the campaign launched last week, with the R&B star calling it a 'lifelong dream' of hers.

Ciara has a two-year-old son, Future Zahir, from her previous relationship with rapper, Future, but the new arrival will be Russell's first child. We bet the pair can't wait to welcome their bundle of joy into the world.
