Celebrities to turn out in force for dinner in aid of PeaceEarth foundation

Fundraiser event will be hosted by Oscar winner and UNESCO ambassador Forest Whitaker

Celebrities will turn out in force for a dinner in Whitehall this Saturday, in aid of the PeaceEarth Foundation.

The event will be hosted by philanthropist Ella Krasner and Oscar winner and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Forest Whitaker, who founded the charity, which aims to promote peace among youth across the world, in 2012.

Guests at the event, which begins at 7pm in Whitehall, include Jude Law, Trudie Styler and Yasmin Le Bon.

There will also be a special performance by Mary J Blige.

The PeaceEarth foundation hopes to empower citizens and communities who are confronted with violence and conflict on a regular basis.

They work side by side with UNESCO to work on projects in Northern Uganda and South Sudan.

Star Diamond, a private jewellery company who work closely with governments to ensure fair wages and support are given to workers, is one of the partners of the event.
